Manufactured Home Foundation Certifications

When purchasing a Manufactured Home you may have some additional requirements with certain lending programs. A manufactured home, which is a home built in a controlled environment on a permanent chassis, hard wheels, and able to be transported as a whole or in sections, will be placed on and affixed to a permanent foundation. A Manufactured Home Foundation Certification is a lender requirement to verify this installation.

HUD created installation guidelines for manufactured homes and they oversee the process to ensure adherence to the guidelines. When you finance the purchase of a manufactured home, your lender will have the home inspected for adherence to HUD guidelines for all FHA/VA insured loans. Many lenders require the certificate for conventional loans as well.

We perform on-site inspections and Engineering Foundation Certifications to ensure conformance to federal government regulations for mortgage lenders, real estate agents, insurance agents, and homeowners. If the manufactured home foundation is in conformance with governing HUD/FHA, VA, and Conventional Lending standard, we issue an Engineer’s Foundation Certification.
