HomeTeam is proud to welcome new owners, Massimo Taurisano and Michele Pugliese. Massimo moved to the United States in 1996 and worked covering roles of increased responsibility for general contractors and developers as well as in corporate America for two large financial institutions. Over the years he also developed his own real estate firm purchasing multifamily assets in the East Coast and Midwest. Massimo received his master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania (Wharton School and Penn Engineering). Previously, he was a professional engineer in Italy and a real estate broker in Massachusetts and New York.
Michele graduated with a doctoral degree from the Politecnico of Milan in Italy and worked there as a professional engineer before taking over his family’s company where he designed and constructed large water treatment plans for private clients and municipalities. Eventually, he divested his business and moved to the Dominican Republic where he started the first vending machine business in the country. Most recently, he sold the company and decided to move to the United States.
Both men have a military background, having served in the Italian Army as officers between 1994 and 1996 and as second lieutenants in the Army Corps of Engineers.
Massimo and Michele both chose the home inspection industry because it aligned with their prior experience as engineers and overall backgrounds. HomeTeam was their top pick because of its breakthrough approach to the home inspection industry, the technology-driven model, and its scalability. The pair look forward to starting a business together.
Aside from work, Massimo is a member of the Board of Assessors in Wayland, Massachusetts. This group is responsible for the valuation of all real estate property within the town. Massimo’s hobbies include playing soccer, skiing, sailing, reading, and watching movies. He enjoys drinking fine wine and coffee as well. Massimo resides in Wayland with his wife, Carrie and two children—Antonio, 13 and Samantha, 10.
Michele currently lives in Boston with his wife Laura. He considers moving to the United States one of his proudest accomplishments. For fun he enjoys reading, watching movies, running, and playing soccer. Michele has two sons—Federico, 18 and Alessandro, 17 who live with their mother and attend School in Milan, Italy.
