Introducing Jim Patrick and Adam Wilson, new owners from San Diego! Jim was previously a firefighter of 20 years and a fire inspector for four. Adam is a graduate from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana, earning a degree in aviation and human factors psychology commissioned through the ROTC program as a Second Lieutenant. After completing his basic Officer training with the Marines in Quantico, VA, Adam served as a Marine Corps Officer from 2009-2020, reaching the rank of Captain. After leaving active duty with the Marines, Adam became a licensed insurance broker with Symmetry Financial Group.
Jim’s experience as a fire inspector inspired him to join the home inspection industry, while Adam has always been interested in the field. For Jim, the driving force to select HomeTeam specifically was the integrity of the people from the corporate office. HomeTeam allows Jim to fulfill his dream of becoming a small business owner, while helping others. For Adam, it was the unparalleled support system given to owners from corporate and the streamlined technology software used throughout the business.

Both partners have served in the United States military. Under the Department of the Navy, Jim served as a civilian firefighter, EMT, and fire inspector for a total of nine years. As a Marine, Adam’s received many medals and accolades throughout his career including, the Operation Inherent Resolve Campaign medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation medal with one gold star, and the Joint Service Achievement medal.
Jim is an active member of the California Real Estate Inspection Association. In his free time, he enjoys riding his bike, swimming, and hiking. He also volunteers at his daughter’s school to help maintain the garden and teach in the classroom.
Adam’s military experience has given him many interesting stories to tell. In 2012 he had to perform an emergency landing while flying a TH-57 Sea Ranger helicopter in Florida after the engine caught on fire! And just months before that Adam led a three aircraft formation flight in a training area near Las Cruces, NM when he had a complete radio failure in his cockpit. He and the two other aircraft utilized pre-coordinated hand and arm signals to communicate and get the formation back home safely.
Coin collecting, cooking, shooting targets, gardening, and flying are some of Adam’s hobbies. Both Adam and Jim look forward to providing the real estate industry with quality home inspections. With their experiences, we know they’ll make a great team!
